Cesana Torinese (To)
On the ancient Roman road that led from the Po Valley to Gaul, at the foot of Mount Chaberton (3.131 m.slm) is today the town of Cesana Torinese (1.354 m.slm) in the Alta Valle Susa. A town rich in history consists of 11 charming Alpine hamlet scattered at high altitude up to 2000 meters or more above sea level. Cesana is a crossroads of the Milky Way ski area with slopes of the Mountains of the Moon to Claviere and those of San Sicario linking in Sestriere. During the bidding of the Winter Olympics in Turin 2006, with the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton in Cesana San Sicario Pariol and biathlon, has become a reference for lovers of skiing and winter sports.
